Celebration Evening in support of Paul Gavin – 19th September 2008
The evening took place on a Friday evening in the Beechwood Community Centre in Runcorn. The night was organised by Linda Jones, her daughters Susan and Debbie, and many others who helped behind the scenes. I always thought that the night was going to be brilliant, however it beat all expectations and was simply unforgettable. It was a great bunch of people who all came along to support the charity and to celebrate with me and my family, and we all had a ball. There was a brilliant raffle, auction, singer and a disco, and I even showed my snakehips to the lucky audience, and had a good dance! Another brilliant factor of the night was that all money raised was donated to the Bone Cancer Research Trust, my chosen charity. Thanks to everyone's generosity and the organisation of the night astonishingly £1000 was raised. What a fantastic achievement. So for this reason especially, I'd like to give a big thankyou to the organisers and entertainers for providing a great night, and not forgetting all those who came along and supported the evening.
